We recently updated our MFT software to V2.1-841, had the license activated, and the current power.cfg file copied to the folder with the new MFT software version. I ran into the error of Unauthorized device when trying to do tests for the first time after the update. The error ‘Unauthorized device’ came up after I clicked on ‘Get spectrum’ button for the white standard. After its first appearance, the warning kept coming up and prevented me from proceeding any further. Everything seemed to work fine until I clicked on Get Spectrum - I was able to set the parameters in the options window, select the lamp, and focus the light. I have tried closing and reopening the program a few times, as well as physically disconnecting and reconnecting the tester from/to the computer. Same error came up after I clicked on Get Spectrum.
Has anyone come across this error? Advices on the causes and troubleshooting are much appreciated.
