About Light Calibrator

The Calibrator is used to calibrate the light power from the LED sources of MFT. Is there a user manual for the calibrator, and what should be paid attention to when calibrating? Please kindly to give some advice, Thank you🙂

The calibration procedure is guided by the MFT software. You just need to follow the steps displayed on the screen.
It is important to make sure that the new power.cfg file is replaced in the MFT directory.

It is recommended to perform the calibration once a 6 months period.

Hi Anna, Thanks for reply🙂
When finished the calibration, a new power.cfg file will be created. There are data of different LED currents recorded in this file, can these data be used as reference to make sure if the calibration procedure is completed correctly?
Or just when I finished the calibration, it simply means the calibration already be done correctly.

Dear Erin,
Yes, the LED’s light power is measured for several values of driving current. This provides the LED’s characteristics. User may freely choose the value of current driving the LED during the experiment. Data from the power.cfg allows to calculate the output light power for a given current.
When no error occurs during the calibration procedure, you may assume that it has been performed successfully.
However, to verify if the power.cfg file is exported correctly you may view it and check if the file is complete (it should contain light power values for currents from 0 to 950 mA or 1000 mA). You may also check the date when the file was created to make sure that it is newly exported file - not the previous one.
